As women age, they begin to lose the elasticity in their skin leading to sagging breasts. This may occur after pregnancy, massive weight loss, and breastfeeding altering the shape and firmness of the breast.

A breast lift (mastopexy) will improve the appearance of the breasts raising their position  and shaping them to a more youthful contour. At times, a breast lift and augmentation with implants is used to help fill the loss of volume in the upper part of the breast.

With aging and childbirth, the breasts undergo dramatic changes in anatomy and function, as well as change the shape and contour of the breasts.

More than 11,000 patients agree:

Face and Body Plastic Surgery is different.

Over the years we’ve watched fad treatments and cosmetic crazes come and go. But when the fads have failed, the crazes died out, and people just want something that works…they turn to us.

Your Breast Lift Consultation

During your consultation, Dr. Izquierdo will discuss all your options based on his examination. Our goal is to lift the breasts to a more youthful shape and position.

Your Breast Lift Procedure

A breast lift will improve a woman’s breast contour and appearance. Dr.Izquierdo will remove lax skin and tighten it to lift the breasts to a more youthful shape and position.

Breast lift surgery will typically require one to three hours in the operating room and is performed in an ambulatory surgery center under general anesthesia as an outpatient.  Incisions are hidden within normal anatomic folds and structures following the natural contour of the breast. Scarring will fade over a period of months.

Breast Lift Recovery

Following a breast lift, patients will be placed in a surgical bra. Pain is relieved by pain medication. Those patients with children needing close attention, are encouraged to acquire additional or surrogate help for their child care during the early post operative period. You will be seen 1-3 days after surgery and then 1 month post op and 4 months post operation.  Patients can be back at work in typically 3-7 days, but are to avoid more vigorous activities for 4-6 weeks to let your wounds heal properly.

You may start a slow return to regular activities between the third and fourth weeks post operatively.
